COMMONPLACE BOOK
Sydney Smith's handwriting presents some challenges for the present-day reader. In time one can become attuned to his habits. There is an additional problem with the Commonplace Book in that the ink has faded over the years and in places is barely decipherable. The Sydney Smith Association welcomes any attempts at transliteration made by visitors to these pages. Please send your efforts to [email protected].
